          Up and running for three months now, Kilbeggan Men’s Shed meets every Wednesday between 11am and 1pm, at the former steel and cladding premises beside Dunbia. – See more at: http://www.westmeathexaminer.ie/news/roundup/articles/2014/11/04/4033607-have-you-visited-mens-shed-kilbeggan-yet/#sthash.04FZzNT7.dpuf.  Here they have an indoor and outdoor workshop, and are in the process of doing up a cabin, where they can have a cup of tea and a chat about whatever takes their fancy.

    Originating in Australia, Men’s Sheds are dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting places where men come together and undertake a variety of agreed activities.

    Open to men of all ages, it’s a place to share skills and knowledge, and learn new ones. The objective is to enhance and maintain the well-being of participating men.

    “We have a fine premises here and we could do with more members and it’s open to all ages,” says TP O’Gorman.

    “At the end of the day it’s all about, chatting, communicating, relationships. It’s good for the psyche, it’s not all about work, it’s about people and relationships.

    “We’re finding out the interests that different people have, from gardening to woodwork. Anything goes here and we’re looking for more ideas on what activities we can get our “
