Supporting Men’s Learning and Wellbeing in your Community; Invitation to Apply.

The Irish Men’s Sheds Association, in partnership with Co. Wexford VEC, are delighted to invite applications from potential participants for our Supporting Men’s Learning and Wellbeing in your Community Workshop which will take place in Gorey Co. Wexford, Ireland, form the 10th to the 19th of June 2012.

This is a fully funded workshop and is open to people who are returning to adult education and who have a keen interest and/or experience in the workshop topic.

This is an European Commission, Education and Training initiative and is a Grundtvig action.

Workshops enable adult learners to participate in learning events and seminars taking place in a European country other than their own.

Workshops bring together individuals or small groups of learners (10-20 people) from several countries for their personal development and learning needs.  Learners are also encouraged to share their competences and insights with others.

However, workshops are not intended to provide vocational training for professionals.

On completion of this workshop we expect that the participants will have the skills, knowledge and confidence to set up or get involved in initiatives which support men’s learning and wellbeing in their communities.

Unfortunately, people from the Republic of Ireland do not qualify to participate in this workshop.

The deadline for applications is the 2nd of March 2012 at 5pm.
