An inspirational speech by Ollie Barbour

He was introduced by David Maher World of a Difference winner. His speech about mental health issues was described as inspirational by some of the members that attended. His discussion had the audience fully engaged and his learning experiences were described by some members as empowering. The Chair of IMSA Mr George Kelly thanked Ollie for addressing the AGM and commented that his speech was excellent. It was pleasing to hear Ollie’s endorsement of Irish Men’s Sheds movement throughout the Country and he commented that Men’s Sheds are bringing back a part of Irish life that encourages a real sense of community engagement, he said the power of talking and chatting amongst our peers over a cuppa and a sticky bun has positive benefits that can be really significant for us all. He closed his speech by complimenting all the Men’s Sheds throughout the Island of Ireland for their support to their members and their community’s. Mr John Evoy CEO of IMSA endorsed the Chairs comments and personally thanked Ollie for his attendance and his engaging speech.
