About Shed
Cahersiveen Mens Shed Limited has an annual membership of 60 and is a very active shed. We are located in a large premises at Unit 7, Industrial Estate, Gurranebawn, Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry for the past several years and had been offered the premises to rent annually from Kerry County Council for which we are extremely grateful. Since then we have carried out major improvements to the inside of the building and as a result have facilities such as :
Office ( Wi Fi and internet) ..Meeting room…Fully equipped kitchen… Large social area which includes full size snooker table and large screen TV…. large work shop and a gym area which is equipped with rowing machine, bike, thread mill and 2 weightlifting machines plus free weight bench. Out back we have a lean to work area where we produce kindling for sale.
During the winter months we play card games a number of nights in the week and could have a total of 24 members attending on any given night. We hold keep fit classes twice a week from 10 am to 11.30 am on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Cookery classes are also held twice a year .We have also had very successful art classes and computer courses.
