  • National Research Project gets underway on Men’s Sheds in Ireland

The Netwell Centre in Dundalk Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Irish Men’s Sheds Association and with the support of the Australian Men’s Shed Association will be carrying out a survey of men’s sheds over the spring and summer of 2012.

All men participating in sheds in Ireland will be invited to complete a survey on their experiences in their shed.  The survey will only take about 20 minutes to complete but will provide much needed information on the position of men and the informal learning that takes place in sheds. The findings will help inform the development of men’s sheds in the years ahead.

The survey is completely anonymous, so no names need to be provided.

Dr Lucia Carragher, a researcher from the Netwell Centre, will be contacting sheds across Ireland over the coming weeks to invite them to take part in the research.

In the meantime if you would like to find out any additional information on the research, contact Lucia on Ph: 00353 4293497  lucia.carragher@netwellcentre.org
