Safety is an anchor value for Mercury Engineering with 20,000 safety audits carried out in 2020 so who better to advise Shedders on safety tips than Robert O’Dowd, Group Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager; Declan O’Donovan, Senior Project Manager in Healthcare and Aoife Behan, Office Manager and leader of Mercury’s charity partnerships programme.

In this shedcast, broadcast live on Wednesday 3 March, they speak about their process managing the Covid safety guidance for over 5,000 employees around Europe both in offices and on construction sites. Hand sanitising sites, screens, ventilation, masks, staggered breaks and a 15-minute rule were all deployed to keep staff safe both in offices and on construction sites. A discussion follows on best practice in shed safety including workspace tips, safe-lifting and the use of screens.
