Adman Steel Sheds and the Irish Men’s Sheds Association are teaming up once again to support Men’s Sheds right across the island of Ireland.

This year, Adman Steel Sheds is providing €50,000 in funding, with two separate €25,000 prize funds available to help two deserving Men’s Sheds towards the cost of a brand-new Adman Steel Shed.

For many Men’s Sheds, having the right space can transform what they are able to offer their members and their local community. A new shed can mean more room for activities, workshops and projects, a safer and more comfortable meeting place, and an opportunity to secure the future of the Shed for years to come.

Competition 2026 – Time Frame
September 1st – Entries Open.
September 25th at 5pm – Deadline for Entry.
October 5th – Sheds Shortlisted for Video Presentation.
October 19th – Deadline for Video Entry from Shortlisted Sheds.
November 19th – Two winners announced at the National Conference in Athlone.

1. Entry opens on 1 September 2026. Entry closes on 25 September 2026 at 5pm.

2. Eligibility: Men’s Sheds registered with the Irish Men’s Sheds Association and operating on the island of Ireland are eligible to enter the competition.

3. All entrants agree that, if they are a Winning Men’s Shed, they will participate in photo opportunities and local publicity as reasonably required by the IMSA.

4. The decision of the judges and judging panel in Stage 1 is final, and no appeals or challenges may be brought by entrants against the decision or scoring by the judging panel.

5. Prize: Two prize packages are available. Each prize is an Adman steel shed valued up to €25,000 (including VAT), as per the prices advertised on the Adman website at the time each Winning Shed selects its preferred size and style of shed. No cash prize in lieu of a shed will be made. However, some installation expenses or fit-out costs may be reimbursed with the agreement of the IMSA, up to the total prize value of €25,000, if the shed itself costs less than €25,000. Adman Steel Sheds will deliver and erect the shed to a site prepared by the Winning Shed.

6. Preconditions to award of Prize:
a) Each Winning Shed must prepare a site, at the Winning Shed’s own cost, in accordance with Adman requirements in advance of the delivery date.
b) Each Winning Shed must demonstrate ownership of, or a long-term lease agreement for, the proposed shed location and, where relevant, permission from the site owner for installation before the Prize can be awarded.
c) Each Winning Shed must be able to install the steel shed within 12 months of being awarded the Prize and must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the IMSA, within 4 months of the announcement, that it has made the necessary arrangements to achieve installation within the 12-month period.
d) Each Winning Shed must, within 4 months of the announcement and at least 1 week before delivery, obtain written confirmation from (i) all relevant members and/or officers of the Shed (if it is a company limited by guarantee or other legal body) and (ii) the owner of the site where the steel shed will be located, that should the Adman steel shed become disused by the Winning Shed for more than 6 months, or if the Winning Men’s Shed is dissolved, ownership of the shed will transfer to the IMSA and all signatories will facilitate handing over the physical shed to the IMSA.

If any of the Preconditions in clause 6(a) to (d) are not fulfilled, the Prize will be forfeited and the IMSA may hold a second selection, award the Prize to another finalist, or apply the Prize for the benefit of another Men’s Shed in Ireland as the IMSA reasonably determines.

8. The competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by Irish law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts. If an entrant is a consumer and resident in Northern Ireland, that entrant is entitled to the benefit of any mandatory provisions of Northern Irish law and may bring claims against the IMSA in either the Irish Courts or the Courts of Northern Ireland.

9. Each qualifying Men’s Shed must confirm that it has sufficient right, title and interest, including copyright, in any video submitted to the IMSA, and permission from every person appearing in the video, to grant a licence to IMSA and Adman Steel Sheds to display the video on IMSA and Adman social media sites.
