So this time last year we officially opened and what a year it has been. We now have a very busy workshop with Men from all over the area calling in sharing their skills and having a chat. We are a welcoming place and the Men who use it find it great – sure it’s better than being stuck at home!! Earlier in the year we received the award for being Tuam Group of the Year and are now short-listed for a Mayor County Award. We have been very busy helping other groups by holding Workshops for them, donating materials etc. and have also done some personal stuff to help and cheer up others. We created a garden and gave our neighbours from St Pat’s school some raised beds. We have been invited to help and advice other groups who are interested in setting up their shed’s throughout the county. This time last year also we made and donated a special post box for the kids in the area to post their santa letters and during the summer we made props for Marian Choral Society. The friendships made over the last year has been great and we’d encourage anyone interested to call up for a visit and cuppa. Or course all of this would not be possible if it wasn’t for the support and generosity we get from the community – there are too many to mention but Thank you all so much. Like everyone else we have bills to pay so we would like to invite everyone to pop in to the Shed and have a look around and maybe you may see something you would like to buy. We will more than likely be at the Tuam Christmas Market this year so our elves are very busy here preparing for that. Thanks again to everyone who has helped us and it has been great for us all to give back to the community .
