The Irish Men’s Sheds Association is delighted to invite your shed to the Men’s Sheds Gathering 2018 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork, from September 12-13.

This will be the largest gathering of men’s sheds members in the world this year, bringing men’s sheds members from across the island together in this iconic sporting arena.

Throughout the two days, the focus of the Gathering will be firmly fixed on the experiences, triumphs, achievements and challenges of men’s sheds members themselves. Attendees will be serenaded by a selection of men’s sheds choirs, a burgeoning scene which has taken hold across the island, from Armagh to Mayfield.

Appropriate to the venue, a number of headline speakers will be drawn from the world of elite Irish sport. Recently retired Munster and Ireland legend Donncha O’Callaghan, an ambassador with the IMSA’s DIY partners Topline, will make a triumphant return to his home city to address an audience of up to 500 men’s sheds members and invited guests. Having already visited a number of sheds in his home county, Donncha’s sharp wit and keen interest in how men face into retirement are sure to spark lively discussion.

Meanwhile, former Irish Olympian and Celebrity Masterchef winner David Gillick will also be present to give his fascinating insight into men’s mental and physical health, and the connections between the two.

Attendees will also hear about exemplary men’s sheds projects from across the country, in the words of those who carried them to fruition. Meanwhile, the IMSA’s ever-popular Sheds for Life initiative will also feature prominently, via an innovative Health Expo featuring a wealth of information from Ireland’s leading health and wellbeing agencies and charities.

Tickets for the event will be priced at €25 per men’s shed member for the Daytime Gathering session at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and €25 per member for the evening meal at Cork’s renowned Rochestown Park Hotel.

Day 2 of the Gathering will offer attendees a wide choice of options, as guests of our Cork sheds. Shed visits and trips to several of Cork’s most compelling tourist attractions will feature on the slate of available events. Further details, and a full list of speakers, will be announced soon. As ever, visit or call (01) 891 6150 for further information.
